James D Kelly II, MD – President & CEO

Dr. James D. Kelly, II is an internationally recognized shoulder and elbow surgeon. He is an active member of the prestigious American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. With numerous publications and presentations in the field, he also is the director of the San Francisco Upper Extremity Fellowship Training Program.

While he performs arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatment for sports injuries, his research interest is in shoulder replacement, and he is a designer and developer of products to help his patients. He has a special interest in options for younger patients with osteoarthritis.

Mark Schrumpf, MD

Mark A. Schrumpf, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a native of the Bay Area. He was born and raised in Marin County and attended college at Stanford, where he graduated with Honors. He attended medical school at the University of Southern California, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. Dr. Schrumpf completed his orthopedic training at the world renowned Hospital for Special Surgery, where he focused his clinical and research efforts on reconstructive surgery of the upper extremity.

Dr. Schrumpf has served as a reviewer and published articles in for The Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, and The Journal of the Hospital for Special Surgery.


Gordon Lundy, MD

Gordon C. Lundy, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Specialist.

Heinz Hoenecke, MD

Heinz Hoenecke, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He has special clinical interest in the shoulder, including throwing shoulder, shoulder reconstruction and shoulder replacement, as well as knee ligament reconstruction.


In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hoenecke conducts research in the areas of shoulder arthroplasty (surgical repair of the joint), the throwing shoulder and arthroscopic surgical techniques. He is also active in the medical community as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
